How to Tie a Surgeon's Knot
Strong · Secure · Perfect for your beaded creations

1
Cross the threads
Bring your two thread ends together. Cross the left thread over the right (as if you are starting a shoelace knot).

2
Create the loop
Instead of pulling the top thread through the hole just once, wrap it under and through the bottom thread twice.

3
Add a second knot
Cross the right thread over the left, but this time, only loop it through the center once.

4
Tighten both knots
Pull both ends firmly together to tighten the knots. The surgeon's knot is now secure!
